Hayden Panettiere Uses Her House Like a "Glorified Closet"

Hayden Panettiere uses her $2.6m LA house like a "glorified closet," a source close to the actress has said.

The Heroes star, 19, recently bought the pad, which is just a short distance from her parents' house, several weeks ago -- but she's finding it difficult to give up her home comforts.

The insider reveals, "She's hardly ever in her new house. She's been at home with her mother more than ever and uses her house like a glorified closet.

"She just keeps all her stuff there, especially all the clothes she is sent, and throws the odd party. Then it's home to mum again."

The 3,120-square-foot property boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a pool.

Panettiere recently revealed she'd be having her BFF living with her.

She said, "My best friend is moving in with me for a year. And her family is nearby, too.

"My parents are down the street [and] I spent the summer buying furniture."
