Guy Ritchie Hints at Second Malawian Adoption

Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie has hinted that the couple is looking to adopt another child from Malawi.

The pair -- who adopted David Banda from the poverty-stricken country two years ago -- have previously blasted reports they were planning to adopt for a second time, with the Material Girl hitmaker's longtime publicist Liz Rosenburg saying, "There is no truth to this rumor. It's an old one - wasn't true then or now. Madonna is starting her tour in a week."

But, when asked in a new interview with Britain's prestigious Observer newspaper if he and his wife were "trying to adopt another child from Malawi, named Mercy?" Guy responded, "Possibly."

Guy -- whose new movie RocknRolla is released later this year -- also blasted claims by Madonna's estranged brother, Christopher Ciccone, that he is homophobic.

When asked for his opinion on Life With My Sister Madonna, Ritchie quipped, "What do I make of that book? I don't make anything of the book. The poor chap wrote it out of desperation.

"I don't think it'd be intelligent to comment on that. I can't give too much equity [sic] in what the chap's gonna write in that book. But you'd be hard pushed to be a homophobe and marry Madonna."
