Jennifer Hudson to Sing National Anthem For Barack Obama

Jennifer Hudson has been asked to sing the national anthem Thursday for American Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
The American Idol alum will perform on the night Obama addresses the Democratic National Convention for the first time as his party's official candidate for president of the United States.
"She's thrilled and excited," Jennifer's rep told E! Online. "It's a tremendous honor."
Other A-listers who will be in Denver this week include Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Kanye West and Sheryl Crow. Bruce Springsteen will be closing the convention Thursday night.
Hudson said in June that she'd be thrilled to perform for Obama.
"I'm so proud and excited for him," she said. "I haven't gotten a call from them yet, but he does have my support."
