Ben Affleck Text Messages Matt Damon Parenting Advice

Ben Affleck has been sending pal Matt Damon parenting tips via text message.

Affleck -- who starred alongside Damon in 1997's Good Will Hunting, which the pair also wrote -- says he has been in contact with the Bourne Ultimatum star and has also given him advice on coping with his newborn daughter Gia .

Ben, who is expecting his second child with wife Jennifer Garner later this year, told People magazine, "I've kind of been texting Matt back and forth, and he's doing great and his wife Luciana is doing great."

Matt -- who also has a two-year-old daughter Isabella and a 10-year-old stepdaughter Alexia with his spouse -- is also "thrilled" about the new addition to his family, according to Ben.

He added, "Anybody who has a child is excited, I think, no matter what the gender is. They are thrilled. The thing that people really want, when you get down to it, is a healthy child."
