Nicole Kidman Fears Drug Relapse For Keith Urban
Nicole Kidman fears her country music star husband Keith Urban could suffer a drug relapse sparked by his recent back injury.
Urban, who most recently sought treatment for alcohol abuse in 2007, has a painful slipped disc, but he's still touring and has postponed surgery.
A source tells America's National Enquirer magazine, "At some point Keith is likely going to need pain meds, and Nicole's worried that with his addictive personality, all the progress he's made over the past year will slip away."
Keith, 40, first entered rehab to battle addictions to cocaine and alcohol in 1998. He relapsed two years later, and again in 2006 and went into rehab for a second time - just four months after their marriage.
"Everything is going so well. Nicole and Keith have the baby of their dreams. They love their new life together, and Keith has been sober for more than a year and a half," the friend added. "With Keith's diagnosis coming in the middle of his tour and Nicole staying in Australia with the baby, it's no wonder she's concerned."

This just goes to show how little Nicole knows her husband and about addiction. There are non narcotic pain meds available if required and if Nicole is indeed that worried about her husband and his past repeating itself then maybe she should be with him instead of in another continent. Keith has become a much stronger person inside and out and has learned how to channel his energy and his pain. Rather than chance loosing his wife and child I think he would rather tough it out. I think this is more of just a publicity clip to keep her name in the news now that Keith has had so much publicity lately and Nicole is the one that has a movie coming out in Nov. She needs all the publicity she can get especially if this mega bucks film falls flat like the other films she's done of late.

Do you really think Nicole is thinking this??? Keith has already said that his back problem has been blown way out of proportion and its nothing serious, hence he is still performing. I highly doubt that Nicole got her "FRIEND" to pass these "secret feelings" on to the public to get her name in lights, Nicole is always after such positive attention.

This story is so stupid. Keith is not in the middle of a tour. He's had a dozen shows since May. Hardly what I would call a major tour. Keith was just quoted as saying the back issue was blown out of proportion which is usually the case with the media. Nobody has ever mentioned surgery. And Nicole isn't even in Australia anymore. She's now in London getting ready for another movie. You would think a friend would know that. But whoever planted this story is just trying to play the "victim Nicole" card.
How low can the media get?
Nicole is a very private person and if she had something to say to the world she would announce it. The media just needs a story. They are still mad that could not get a picture of Sunday Rose. And now are Jealous that Keith is doing so well, In fact the entire family is doing well. Nicole is a Great Wife,Mother and Actress/Singer!!
