AMY WINEHOUSE's husband Blake Fielder-Civil will remain in prison -- after his bid for an early release was rejected.

Fielder-Civil, 26, is currently serving a 27-month jail sentence at Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, England after he was convicted of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and perverting the course of justice.

He was expected to be freed this week after he agreed to live with his parents and wear an electronic tag.

But, according to British tabloid reports, Blake was told Friday that his application for an early release had been turned down.

And the decision has left his mother, Georgette Civil, furious.

She tells Britain's News of the World newspaper, "Blake and Amy are devastated and I am livid.

"The Probation Service told us they were happy for him to live with us and we expected him home. Now they have told Blake he will either have go to rehab or a hostel or stay in prison until he completes his sentence. It's a disgrace."

The Rehab hitmaker's mother-in-law is now planning on taking the matter to the British government.

She insisted, "I am going to take my protest to the Home Secretary. I'm going to get my Blake home."
