SHANNEN Doherty wants to star in Desperate Housewives -- because she is addicted to watching the show.

The Beverley Hills, 90210 star, 37, says she would save so many hours of the day if she appeared on the hit show because then she would not have to watch it on television.

Doherty explains, "I would love to be on Desperate Housewives. That is a great show, I love it and I am addicted to it. It would be a dream come true."

Doherty is currently starring in the Beverley Hills, 90210 spin-off series, 90210.
