SUSAN Boyle Dreamed a Dream and now she’s living it!

The Scottish singing sensation — who’s due to release her debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, later this month — has been lined up to appear on US TV show Dancing With The Stars, it has been confirmed.

Boyle, 48, will fly to Los Angeles for an appearance on the hit show early next week, her rep said.

“She’s excited and happy,” her brother, John Boyle, told People magazine. “She loves America and loves the people. She appreciates their honesty.”

I Dreamed A Dream is due out on November 24 and is expected to earn Susan millions.

But Susan, her brother says, isn’t a big spender.

The star has bought a three-piece sofa and recliner set in burgundy leather for her small home in Blackburn, Scotland, and a new refrigerator. “Moneywise, she’s very frugal,” John said.

“She wasn’t happy staying in London full-time. She can walk around in Blackburn. Just say, ‘Hi’ and ‘How’s it going?’to the locals.”

NICOLAS Cage’s penchant for the finer things in life led him down the road of financial ruin, according to an interesting new report.

The Daily Beast says Cage has purchased more than a dozen houses, two islands, dinosaur skulls, shrunken heads and at least 50 cars.

“[He] spent money like it was water,” a source said.

The actor has bought houses in places like Newport Beach, Venice Beach, Malibu, San Francisco, Middletown, Rhode Island, New York, and Las Vegas. He even owned a castle near Bath, England, an 11th-century estate in Etzelwang, Germany and two Bahamian islands.

Cage also liked to party.

“The Christmas party in the tent at Nicolas Cage’s mansion was a major to-do,” according to The Daily Beast. “The pool was covered up. Blocks of ice were brought in and carved into a buffet table, from which an extravagant array of shellfish was served. A production crew blew fake snow. There were enormous nutcracker men, 8- to 10-feet-tall, out by the gate in front of the house. Lighting specialists came by and illuminated Cage’s favorite cars, which sat on display in the driveway. Guests at the December 2003 event included Hugh Hefner and Jay Leno, who later called it the greatest Christmas party he’d ever been to.”

In 2005, Cage gave $1 million to the Red Cross to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. In 2006, Amnesty International announced that Cage was giving the organization $2 million.

Cage is currently liquidating much of his vast real-estate empire and blaming his financial woes on his ex-manager, whom he’s sued for $20 million

The star claims in court papers that Samuel J. Levin, his former business manager, is at fault for his financial troubles, giving bad advice that put the actor on a path to his financial ruin. He is seeking $20 million in damages.

TAYLOR Swift doesn’t do anything by halves!

The country music superstar says she went all out for her much-hyped Saturday Night Live skit.

“I want to look nothing like myself,” Swift, 19, told MTV when asked what viewers can expect from her on the show.

Taylor added that she’ll transform her appearance with “costumes and wigs and makeup.”

“I told all the writers, ‘Don’t count anything out. I want to completely go 100 percent in this’,” she added. “I really, really don’t want to be only halfway involved … just because I have a lot of things to do as far as being musical guest and host.”

Taylor — who is rumoured to be dating 17-year-old Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner — took to her Twitter account earlier this week to reveal her fears that she’ll have “a heart attack” when she makes her presenting debut.

“Starting the SNL process I kinda feel like I might have a heart attack or pass out in the pitch meeting. I’m that excited.(sic)” she wrote on the social-networking site.

The Grammy nominee recently claimed that she is concerned her clean-cut image disappoints some people.

“Sometimes people are fascinated by the fact that I don’t care about partying, almost to the point where they think it’s weird,” she said.

“I think when we get to the point where it’s strange for you not to be stumbling around high on something at 19, it’s a warped world.”

ROBERT Pattinson apparently hated working with the first Twilight director, Catherine Hardwicke.

Pattinson and Hardwicke, who was dumped for the sequel New Moon, allegedly didn’t get along because Catherine liked to rush things while Rob liked to take his time.

“Catherine and Rob didn’t exactly get along that well,” a source told FOX News. “Rob is more a method actor and likes to take time and get into his character while Catherine likes to get things moving. It caused a lot of tension between them.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Rob and Kristen Stewart “devastated” their costar Nikki Reed when they started dating.

Rob and Nikki apparently dated shortly after they finished filming the first Twilight flick and she was left furious when the hunky British actor dumped her and hooked up with Kristen.

“Rob and Kristen are funny because they’re so super secretive, even with their closest friends in the cast, they’re very cryptic,” a source said. “They are together for sure because it really caused waves between Rob/Kristen and Nikki Reed.

“After the first Twilight wrapped, when Rob and Nikki were together and no one was a megastar yet, you could still see the sparks between Kristen and Rob even though they were each in their respective relationships… they always had this really intense, magnetic chemistry. So Nikki was the one to get hurt.

“Nikki was really in love with Rob, but we’re all scared to bring it up now.

“It’s something we just don’t talk about.

“Everyone is relieved she’s with Paris [Latsis, Paris Hilton’s former fiancé] because he is an amazing boyfriend to her.

“She’s happy and she’s really found someone that she can lean on through all the media hype surrounding the series.”

SANDRA Bullock’s husband Jesse James is furious his famous wife has been dragged into the bitter custody battle between himself and his porn star ex-wife Janine Lindemulder.

Lindemulder claimed earlier this week that Bullock was trying to take her daughter away from her.

“What would give her the right to take away my daughter?” she said in an interview Thursday with ABC’s Good Morning America. “You know, this is my daughter. I am the best mother I can be.”

Sandra, 45, has been helping Jesse, 40, raise 5-year-old Sunny since January while Janine — star of films such as Mrs Behavin’, Sleeping Booty and Dyke Diner — was in prison.

James’s attorney Marilyn Slifman calls Lindemulder’s remarks “inaccurate and unfortunate.”

“Sandra Bullock is not a party to this litigation,” Slifman said in a statement to People magazine. “Mr. James’s sole concern is for the safety, welfare and best interests of his daughter. The proper forum to resolve this case is in the courtroom.” (more…)

MEGAN Fox reckons good-looking celebrities use their beauty as a “mask”.

The Transformers star, 23, says just because Hollywood stars look nice on the outside, it doesn’t mean they’re nice on the inside.

“I’ve met endless so-called beautiful people who don’t seem to have personalities or a direction in life,” she said.

“They’ve never been forced to develop their characters because they’re viewed as being so attractive. So I think beauty can be a mask.”

Fox recently insisted she isn’t chasing fame.

“I try not to focus on fame,” she said. “I am not that aware of it all except at certain times like when I was on the press tour for Transformers and there were large crowds of people wherever we went.

“When I was at the Teen Choice Awards recently it was great. I got very nervous when they got to my category because I thought they would all be screaming for Beyonce but not for me. I thought it would get quiet when they announced my name, I was actually scared.

“But instead there was a huge eruption of screaming and cheering and that made me so happy. I am thrilled to have so many teenage fans. I think teenagers are the best fans to have and if girls like me, then I am extremely happy because I do not want to push the female audience away.

“It is a fine line that you walk when you are sold a certain way in the media.  I don’t think I have alienated girls, though, because it is usually teenage girls who approach me.”

KATE Hudson loves getting facials.

The Bride Wars actress — who’s currently dating New York Yankees star Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez — says she enjoys having cream smeared all over her face.

“I love being a girl,” she said. “I love clothes and I love the rituals of facials and body treatments, all the stuff girls get.”

The 30-year-old also revealed she’s a fan of Botox.

“I was in a press conference once,” Kate recalled, “and someone says, ‘So I can tell you’ve never had Botox!’ Is that a compliment? Or are you trying to say I’m starting to get wrinkles? I literally was like, ‘What?’

“Everyone’s so obsessed with who gets Botox, but it’s great! Are you kidding? The fact that women can avoid going under the knife, and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I’m glad it’s there for when it’s time.”

Kate recently revealed that she’d like to work with her mom, Hollywood legend Goldie Hawn.

“Mom and I would like to do something together,” she said. “But she is so busy doing other things in her life right now that she finds really fulfilling.

“If the right thing came along maybe, I don’t think she’d be closed to it.

“We have an idea that we would like to sort of pursue, although it’s very early and we don’t know if that will ever really happen or come to fruition if it’s the right thing.

“But we definitely want to have that together at some point.”

WILL Ferrell is eying a career change — he wants to become a landlord!

The Hollywood funnyman says he wants to open a traditional British in London’s posh Chelsea.

“All the Chelsea players would be welcome, but I wouldn’t want a celebrity place, it would be an old-fashioned pub,” he said.

“I would be handson. I could get some great material off all the regulars. I am sure there would be a film in it.

“Over-priced fish and chips does not constitute a real British pub.”

Will — who already has two sons, Magnus, five, and two-year-old Mattias — is currently expecting his third child with wife Viveca Paulin.

TOM Cruise and Katie Holmes are at an “all time low” and the pair are fighting to save their marriage, it has been claimed.

Holmes, 30, no longer believes that Cruise will fulfill his promises to her, according to Britain’s Now magazine.

“It’s their third wedding anniversary on 18 November and they’re at an all-time low,” dished an insider.

“The main conflict is between Katie’s career and Tom’s desperation for another child. The sad reality is that they’re not on the same page and want completely different things out of life.

‘Katie’s sick of Tom’s broken promises and wants to walk away for good if the situation doesn’t improve.”

Recent reports claimed Cruise and Holmes — who are already parents to adorable daughter Suri, 3 — had come to blows over whether to have another child.

“They are arguing a lot because Tom feels he is getting on in age and he thinks Katie owes it to him and Suri to get pregnant,” a source told British newspaper the Sunday Express.

“He says he would be in his 60s while the child was young and that’s still just about OK to share in the child’s life.

“Katie feels Tom is more wound up about this than he’s ever been and relations between them are at a really tricky stage.

“She’s only 30 and she’s not sure about having another baby right now. But then she feels guilty about Suri being an only child, especially as she grew up in a big family herself.”
