Game of Thrones fans can now breath a sigh of relief as it is now 100% official that season 6 will start on April, 26th 2016. The date was announced by HBO management on Thursday at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, reported Variety.
The big buzz around the series is whether or not Jon Snow is still alive after a nice little teaser was released making fans think he very well may be and the return of Isaac Hempstead who has been MIA since season 4.
Season 5 of the series brought in the largest viewers ever, averaging 8.11 million viewers earning an Emmy Award for best drama at the same time being the most pirated show online.
On a side note fans are now being told that the juggernaut fantasy show may wrap up by season 8 according to the HBO chief. There is also talk about problems with author Georse RR Martin that is causing “some issues” with the shows future. As a fan myself, this will indeed be a sad day.
